I’m a Gen X survivor of many things, and I weave my personal experiences into my social and political commentary to produce content that I hope resonates with you. This site is inspired by indieweb principles to popularize the open web and reclamation of our right to free speech and association in a historical moment of unfettered authoritarianism.
Optimism matters to me, not the toxic kind of positivity where we just pretend nothing’s wrong but the gritty kind of hope that looks at the rise of fascism in America and says “not today Satan”. I am telling you right now, I didn’t fight my way through childhood abuse, mental illness, addiction and homelessness only to live the rest of my life cowering under the boots of liars and bigots and enemies of the people.
If thoughts on technology, spirituality, and radical politics told through a lens of a relentless refusal to give in to futility and learned helplessness sounds interesting to you, I’m glad you’re here. If not, you can lie awake mad about it. I’m not here to make you comfortable. I’m here to throw the kind of free speech molotovs they won’t let me post on social media.
